The Dingman Company Inc. is committed to acting in an ethical manner to both clients and candidates, with actions characterized by truthfulness and a high level of integrity. We endorse and adhere to the Code of Ethics and professional practice guidelines of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) www.aesc.org.

In several specifics, our firm's standards exceed prevailing industry practices:

  1. Former clients are "off limits" to us for two years after our most recent search.
  2. Any executive we place with a client will not be recruited from that client for at least seven years after joining the client firm except with permission of the client.  Thus far no one has ever been recruited away.
  3. We will not accept two or more assignments at the same time where the selection criteria would have us drawing from the same candidate pool causing an inherent conflict of interest (i.e. two simultaneous CEO searches for healthcare firms). Also, as we serve a client we are careful to guard their interests if asked to serve a competitor.

We seek to serve clients who share our regard for integrity and demonstrate it by their good business practices, fair treatment of employees and the superior quality of their products or services.

We want our clients to be aware of our high ethical standards and to hold us to them. Sharing similar values should form the basis for the mutual trust that is needed for us to serve our client well.

Our work is done at senior management levels, and clients must trust us sufficiently to share future plans, problems that need correction and planned changes in key personnel.  Information obtained from clients, candidates, and candidate references is viewed as sensitive material, requiring discretion in its handling and maintenance with appropriate confidentiality.
