Our success is determined by the success our clients enjoy as a result of our work. During regularly scheduled follow up, we continually ask three questions: Does the selected candidate remain with our client for more than a few years? Does the candidate help the organization succeed and grow? And, will the client retain us for possible additional searches? If those questions are answered positively, we know we have achieved our goals.

Success Stories

  • In 2007, a 14-unit senior living company hired us to find a CFO with strong analytical and acquisition due diligence skills.
  • In 2007, we placed a CFO, who'd earned up to $500K a year in the business world, with a nonprofit organization in order to make a positive difference in society.
  • In 2005, after ten years in the position, the CEO we found for a regional company decided to move back to mainland U.S. We'd earlier found the firm’s SVP-Marketing and Sales who succeeded the CEO. Over a 15 year span we did five searches for that client.
  • In 2005, a small engineering design firm hired us to find a General Manager for their construction forensics unit, a unique, small field.  The person also needed to be qualified as an expert legal witness for courtroom work.  This was a tough search but an excellent person was hired and soon a second search came from that client.
  • In 2002, a $15M family-owned company retained The Dingman Company to complete a VP-Sales and Marketing search. The person hired has since become the President, bought a major stake in the company, has doubled sales, and dramatically increased profits. We subsequently did a Controller search that was also quite successful.
  • In 2000, we recruited a CFO from a for-profit chain of pre-schools to a university where she has since been promoted and obtained her Ph.D. with the hope of becoming a college president. At our suggestion, she was also appointed to the board of a $1B international charity.

A successful search firm doesn't just complete search assignments. Rather, they help their clients recognize their present and future needs and hire accordingly, satisfying both short and long-range goals. Based on these criteria, we indeed count our firm a success.
